Cruise Sydney - An epicurean discovery

By Cruising With Honey - 18:36

Embark on a NSW epicurean food and wine adventure – right from Sydney Harbour.

If you love great food, delicious wines and cruising, Cruise Sydney has designed an adventure that’ll tick all those boxes.

Luckily for me, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being guest of Captain Craig and the crew aboard Migloo, the 78ft luxury catamaran numerous times over the last few months. Cruising Sydney Harbour has helped fill the void while ocean and river cruising has been paused. Each time I step on board, I’m enveloped in tranquillity, ready to leave all my troubles and worries ashore.

Since discovering Cruise Sydney, I can honestly say it has been my go-to for any social gathering (including the inaugural Cruising With Honey Christmas party which was immortalised on the front page of The Australian newspaper) an intimate gathering of a few friends, or just a couple’s escape.

But what sets this cruise aside, is the exceptional food and wine offerings aboard. Captain Craig often describes the voyage as an epicurean discovery, and it certainly is.

All the wines are sourced from around the state – from the Hunter Valley to Orange and even Mudgee. My favourite has got to be the Luna Rosa Rosado followed closely by the bubbles – the Bimbadgen sparkling Semillon.

I know that many harbour cruises don’t put a lot of emphasis on the food, but at aboard Cruise Sydney, all the catering is provided by the very highly esteemed Dolton House  and prepared by the chefs right aboard. While the menu had a wide variety, it has recently expanded to include great Australian Lamb and a succulent chicken main. I was lucky enough to sample both of these mouth-watering dishes on the Australia Day cruise (Part 1 and Part 2)

If you’re missing the sea and need a taste of the salty spray once more, Cruise Sydney, your host Captain Craig and all the hard working crew (who will keep your glass filled and your smile wide), why not book a cruise and feed your appetite as well as your wanderlust spirit.
