Sigh.
Today has been another disappointing day on the cruising front. Another 3 month extension has been added to the cruising ban, the date for a possible re-start is now 17 June 2021.

It's been nearly a year since a ban was slapped on cruises in Australia - and I get it! We are in the midst of a pandemic.
But...
Australia has done tremendously well in containing Covid-19 and now with the vaccine, we are in a great position to re-start domestic cruising.
Cruiselines have implemented robust safety protocols to make cruising safe for passengers and crew. Cruising can start domestically - safely and successfully.
In fact, it already has. I'd like to show Mr Morrison this case study from Dream Cruises. They have now completed 100 days of safe sailing - 2 and 3 night 'seacations' out of Taiwan. See, it can be done.

The cruising industry contributes $5 billion annually to Australia. This petition is not only for cruising passengers, but for our farmers, travel agents, the crew, tour operators, and many others who have had their livelihoods decimated.
