Coral Princess - Return to Eden - Day 3

There’s something about this coastal town that just makes me feel immediately at peace. I have visited Eden a number of times and was so happy that this was our port stop on the three-night cruise aboard Coral Princess.

Donning our ultra-luxe Princess bath robes, dad and I took some fun pics on our mini-suite balcony as I pointed out the sights of Eden. Breakfast next and off we went to explore.

I’d normally book a shore excursion, but my parents and were keen to have an easy day, soaking up the sun and exploring the charming town. However, there are a number of excursions to book, including a tour of the Killer Whale Museum and the very popular a whale watching cruise. I’m kicking myself I hadn’t booked the cruise as the majestic sea creatures were out in force, frolicking in two-fold bay, breaching, and having a jolly good time.

After spending a few hours in town (the free shuttle is perfect), I was keen to head back on board as I had a busy afternoon ahead. First, to catch up with Hotel Director Ren

and then to check out all the wonderful spots I hadn’t see as yet, including the daily cocktail making show at Good Spirits bar. The bartenders create cocktails from around the world and it’s very entertaining.

One of the perks of being a Captain Circle member is the daily afternoon tea in the Explorer Lounge. Delicious canapés and yummy sweets, I had lovely hour catching up with some friends aboard and eating even MORE food.

Dinner time was coming up, and after a quick freshen up I was treated to an extraordinary special dinner with a select group of VIPs. Our menu was from the Bayou Café, one of the specialty restaurants on board, and when I tell you MUST dine there, please take my word for it.

Scallops (naturally, as they’re my favourite), lobster, filet mignon and decadent desserts (they gave me two!) and gorgeous wines.

How was it 9pm already? Karaoke was about to start, and I was warned my name has been put down for a tune. Once again, I headed to the Explorer Lounge to belt out Love Shack (everyone must do karaoke at least once on a cruise).

The rest of the evening was a filled with laughs and chats, dancing and even a quick dabble in the casino. Unanimously among my CWH guests, the sentiment was that:

a) Three days was not long enough on Coral Princess

b) Princess is a brand that knows how to make every passenger feel special

c) Food and drinks got a huge tick of approval

d) Medallion Class app was the best cruise technological invention

e) We will be back

Stepping away to spend a few moments to myself, I walked along the open deck and drank in the moonlight. The ocean was glistening with mystery and joy, carrying tales of the deep, stories of each sea farer it has carried.

The last three days were so incredibly full of love, friendship and new experienced. What a life! How privileged I am to be able to create lifelong memories, core memories that’ll keep me smiling, years into the future.

If there’s one thing I have learned, is that dreams do come true, and mine have – beyond the sea.
